An elegant model 11126 of the all- bakelite desk lamp was designed in the 1930s by ERIC KIRKMAN COLE. Bakelite was the first plastic made from synthetic components in 1907 and was revolutionary for its heat-resistance and electrical non-conductivity. Model 11126 was licensed to be produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s and since then this lamp made a long way. It was a very popular model because of its adjustability of the arm and shade. The color is a dark chocolate-black and the lamp is in its fine original condition.
