Signed two-pieces 1930s TSOLA SILBERREIF green butter dish. Unique, heavy and thick pressed-glass plate is completed by a light blown lid made of rare silver mercury glass. Mercury glass is a glass that was blown double walled, then silvered between the layers with a liquid silvering solution and carefully sealed. This all-handmade household item with lid is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips. It measures 6″ diameter and the dome is 5.5″ high.
